"One Body in Christ"

Dear God, You have called us into union with our sisters and brothers and with You. We strive each day to make that union a reality. We thank You for the graces of time, talent and treasure. We thank You for the wonderful people in our lives who remind us of You. We ask You to fill us with Your love and open us always to the concerns of our sisters and brothers. May we care for them, as You so tenderly care for us. May we be one with all others and with You. In Christ's name we pray. Amen.

The Annual Pastoral Appeal (APA) is an effort by the people of God in the Diocese of St. Petersburg to support the saving ministry of Jesus Christ through their gifts of treasure. Annual Pastoral Appeal gifts from devoted Catholics prepare seminarians for priesthood, save unborn children, improve the lives of families in crisis, educate Catholic school students, provide faith formation for people of all ages and support the worship and faith activities of parishes.

Through the Annual Pastoral Appeal hundreds of thousands of our sisters and brothers are able to see the love of God and the care of others in their lives at a time of critical need.

St. Cecelia’s assessment for 2008 is $203,961

How does the Annual Pastoral Appeal assist St. Cecelia Parish?

Every parish benefits from the Annual Pastoral Appeal. APA provides resources to:

Prepare seminarians for priesthood

Educate all Catholics in their faith through Catholic Schools, Religious Education and Adult Faith Formation

Offer assistance to individuals and families in crisis

Strengthen all forms of parish worship

Broadcast Christ's message to all daily

Provide parishes with professional consultation on real estate, legal, church design and administrative issues

Gifts to the Annual Pastoral Appeal reduce the parish's financial commitment to the Diocese, which maintains funds for ministry on the parish level.
